Makeup Trial & Dress Fitting

Over the last weekend, Shine and I went for our photoshoot outfit fitting and I had my makeup trial accompanied by my mother and bridesmaids. We had so much fun and laughter! Let us share our experience with you.
But first…

Here are some of the things that I brought for my Makeup Trial & Dress Fitting:

  1. Accessories – I can see how they’ll look with my makeup on.
  2. “Cutlets” – for a better fit, so I won’t look so flat.
  3. Lashes – it’s not really a makeup trial without fake lashes.
  4. Tiara – to see if it’ll look good with the ball gown.
  5. Wedding Shoes – to give the right length for my dresses.

Bring along hairpins and safety pin although your makeup artist should have them anyway but you’ll never know. I have some in my handbag just in case. I should’ve brought a variety of lashes though because I personally felt these lashes I got were a bit too long after application. Also, don’t forget that there are charges for eyelash application whether or not you get the eyelashes yourself and also charges for ampoule. I opted out of ampoule for the trial but requested for it for our wedding day of course.

A must-have momento with my sister and bride/bridemaid, Susu.Shine realising that this is a 2-in-1 package because – her pain is my pain, her happiness is my happiness, her periods are my periods, her problems are my problems, etc, etc and everything – I love my Susu to bits and pieces.

After my makeup trial at TWC’s studio, we headed over for our photo shoot dress fitting at TWC’s boutique. Here’s a sneak peak of the dresses!

Before I end this post, I would like to share… this. Seeing how we were trying out our outfits, Nas wanted in too. We always knew he’s the Mermaid Type. Too bad he has to wear a suit for the wedding, sorry darling, you know I love you.

Which is your favourite – Dress No.1, Dress No.2, Dress No.3 or Dress No.4? Doesn’t my Shine look good in both suits? Let us know on the comments section below. Thank you to TWC for your great service and attention to details, to my Mama and my amazing bridesmaids for your constant support and making us laugh, love y’all so much. Thank you too, friends who have been following our journey together and for allowing us to share our love and joy with you, love y’all too. Can’t wait for our photo shoot!

  1. The post was helpful as I am accompanying my friend for her makeup trial next week. She tried out several types of makeup and decided on the one that suited her the best. I carried some extra safety pins and hair pins for the makeup trial. She also tried several wedding outfits well ahead before her wedding

  2. The trial dresses looks amazing. The post helped me to realize the importance of trial makeup and trials to check for the dress fitting. I also planned out for a trail makeup for my daughter who is getting married next month. It helped her to sort out the various issues in her makeup and wedding attire. Thanks a ton for the post.
