Despite moving into our home 4 years ago, I did not get a blender. I always thought of blenders as big and bulky, taking up space on our kitchen counter even though I love smoothies, I was willing to forgo them. I just cannot bear bulky appliances. It did not occur to me that blenders can be portable (excuse this dinosaur) and slim too until I met Aura Blender.

Aura Insulated Sleeve

The Aura Insulated Sleeves is sold separately from the Aura Blender but makes for the perfect combination not only because it’s designed to fit the Aura Blender but also for the AuraGrid Tech to keep your beverage chilled or warm. It’s also waterproof and fits any 480ml bottles.

Simple Recipes with Aura Blender

Now for the fun part – recipes! I can finally experiment with some of the fruit flavour combinations that I’ve always wanted to try. It’s important to note that although the Aura Blender is super effective, in order to keep it functioning well, I prefer slicing my fruits and vegetables before I put them in to blend. You can add ice cubes too for shaved ice.

Make anything from juices, smoothies, protein shakes, meal replacements, milkshakes, baby food, cocktails, desserts, dressings, sauces and soup.

Here are some recipes that are easy to make and taste great.

Strawberry & Banana Smoothie

• 3 halved Strawberries.
• 1 Banana cut into slices.
• 200ml of Milk.
• 1 Tablespoon of Honey.

Papaya Smoothie

• Slices of Papaya.
• 200ml of Milk.
• 1 Tablespoon of Honey.

Oreo Milkshake

• 3 pieces of Oreo Cookies.
• 1 scoop of Vanilla Ice Cream.
• 200ml of Milk.

Pina Colada Mocktail

• Slices of Pineapple.
• Half a Glass of Coconut Water.
• 100ml of Milk.
• 1 Tablespoon of UHT Coconut Cream.
• Squeeze half a lime.

After you blend, you can choose to pour the contents into a cup or you can remove the blades and attach the cap to the bottom of the Aura Blender and travel with it.

Cleaning Directions

Cleaning the Aura Blender is easy, you do not even need to disassemble it hence it is self-cleaning. Be cautious not to just run it under the tap!

1. Add water with a pump of dish soap.
2. Close the blender tightly and blend.
3. Pour out the water.
4. Repeat the process till the blender and jar is clean.

The whole process was easy and only took me a few minutes.

Note: Do not put the button and charging port in water which will result in defecting your Aura Blender.

Am I enjoying the Aura Blender?

Since having my very own portable Aura Blender, it has been very well loved and I take it out with me when I’m going to be out for the whole day. I can head over to the nearest convenience store to get some cut fruits and milk and blend it on-the-go; I can even attach my Aura Blender to a portable charger should the need arises! It’s slim and fits easily into my bag and I can drink my concoction right after blending. The Aura Blender is convenient to take to the beach, picnics, to the office or travel with.

Now I can have my favourite Papaya Smoothie and Pina Colada any day, anywhere, save money and create more fun blender recipes. It makes for a very useful gift for almost anyone from new mums, fitness junkies, new homeowners and more. It’s a great investment and will fit well for almost any lifestyle.
