Thank you to everyone who have helped me with my choice and gave suggestions on Instagram and Facebook. It was a very tough (and expensive) decision but after much deliberation, I finally got my Wedding Shoes, a Venetian Designer with over 80 years of heritage – Rene Caovilla. Handcrafted in tulle, pearls, Swarovski crystals, genuine leather with glitter soles; it’s an art piece in a shoe.

I’ve been searching the streets of Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands and the internet for the perfect pair of shoes for our wedding – something that will give me that Cinderella feels that I’ve dreamt of since I was a little girl. In case you didn’t know, I was obsessed with Cinderella through my entire childhood and beyond, if you don’t believe me, my mother can vouch how big a fan (and dreamer) I was. There was just something about those glass slippers that she left on the stairs of the castle and the turn of events that came after. I wondered what it was like to have a shoe like that – the kind that nobody can fit into but yourself. When better to have such a special pair than for your wedding? I did as much snooping on wedding shoe designers, checked on fit and sizes and saved for months to finally be able to narrow my choices to these few. To be honest, I wanted to pick my Rene Caovilla from the get-go, but because sizes for designer wedding shoes were very limited, I wanted to keep my options open. Thank the Shoe Lords, the good people at On Pedder brought in a pair in the right size later and I got them with immediate effect, lol.Our #2017bride Goals – Shopping for our Wedding Shoes together. Seriously people; tulle, pearls, Swarovski crystals AND glitter soles ALL IN A PAIR OF SHOES, which girl won’t be gleaming? It’s like walking in a dream.
