The 2020s are all about athleisure. It’s all cute when you’re young and petite but it’s a bit harder to get into that trend when you’re reaching forty and have fats hanging around various parts of your body. It does a number on your confidence level.
I usually reserve my sportwear to walks with Baeley and my weekly runs and they’re not exactly cute. Since these activities are part of my routine, my sportswear are quite utilitarian consisting of FBT shorts, my regular old sports bras and loose t-shirts. Yup, I’ve passed the trying-to-look-cute-on-a-run phase. Its mostly because I feel I cannot slip into just any of the cute activewear now and look effortlessly lean in it like I use to. Especially now that I’ve gained over 10kg since my 20s, the activewear that’s suitable for me now are usually boring but fits well and serves its purpose.
Would it be asking too much if activewear came in cute colours with a sleek fit that can keep my tummy pouch in place and make me feel cute too?

My issue has always been my endo belly (and the stubborn fats that cling onto it). It’s been a while since your girl has felt confident in activewear. I was so confident, I could run around Marina Bay Sands circuit and was lost in my music playlist, the view and the nice weather that evening that I was not at all conscious if anyone was staring at my belly because it felt super secure and very comfortable!
