My time at the opulent Grand Lisboa Palace in Macau was nothing short of memorable as I crossed a few milestones within this stay. Firstly, this was my first solo trip with no tourist guide to take me around, which is a big deal for someone who was incredibly bad at directions. I also got invited to dine in restaurants designed by some of my favourite fashion houses. I had to pinch myself a number of times, it felt like a dream.
Calling all fashion girlies (and boys), looking to solo travel and spoil yourself with a short luxurious stay, Grand Lisboa Palace might just be perfect for you.

Why you should stay at Grand Lisboa Palace?
Grand Lisboa Palace is under SJM’s integrated resorts and hotels and is a tribute to Macau’s rich cultural heritage and traditions with Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star elegance. The resort consists of three Hotel Towers – The Karl Lagerfeld, Palazzo Versace and the host hotel, Grand Lisboa Palace.
Each hotel tower has it’s own theme with it’s own check-in lounge, dining and spa. In this guide, we will be covering an experience from each of the hotel towers. My accommodation was hosted by Grand Lisboa Palace.

Deluxe Room
I could not believe my eyes as I entered the room. It was so huge and majestic! I was even treated to Portuguese Tarts for welcome treats. This room was fit for an empress and it was so massive for just little ol’ me. The bathroom was equally as jaw-dropping with entirely marble finish. It felt incredible to unwind with a nice long bath after a hectic experience at the Macau Airport, but I’ll leave that story for another day.

One of the highlights of my stay here was having my breakfast served in-room with this amazing view of Grand Lisboa Palace. Make arrangements for in-room dining during check-in or call for room service before breakfast closes.

Things to Note
- The resort is incredibly huge, it can count as a city all on its own! You can walk from one tower to another but take note that some areas are only accessible to guests of the respective hotel towers.
- You may choose to dine in any of the restaurants upon reservation. Take note to follow the dress code.
- The main language spoken here is Cantonese and not every staff on ground may understand English. Have your Google Translator on stand-by should you need assistance but all signages are written in Cantonese, Portuguese, English and Japanese.
- If you choose to do some sight-seeing outside of the resort, there are big shuttle buses provided to and from the city centre, ferry terminal and airport, all from the resort’s own bus terminal located at Grand Lisboa Palace Tower.
