Art & Design
Silks Club Kaohsiung is renown for it’s art in design and architecture that is prominent as you walk around the hotel.

This 4D kinetic sculpture has 168 metal spheres float above a water pond located at the lobby. You can have a seat and watch as it moves and forms different shapes like a dance. I thought it looked very familiar. It turns out that the artist behind this piece is the same one that made the raindrops sculpture in Changi Airport.

Should you want a quiet area to read or wait for acquaintance, have a seat at this corner of the lobby located just beside the reception.

This Powder Coated Steel is located on the 16th floor. You can see the metal interwoven and the natural light that shines through it with the semi-shaded infinity pool with a view of Kaohsiung City skyline behind it.

The onsen sauna is located on the same level as the pool, separated for men and women, with fully equipped amenities.

This spiral staircase located at the 2nd floor that leads you up to Grill Ukai amused me as, when you look up, you will see these gorgeous lights reminiscent of twinkling stars.

Premier King Harbour View

I stayed in the luxurious Premier King Harbour View where I thoroughly enjoyed it’s minimalist yet warm interior, high-tech fixtures with a clear unobstructed view of the harbour.

If you’re interested in any fixture or art in your room or around Silks Club Kaohsiung, you may call the front desk to make a purchase!

The bathroom interior is very chic, spacious and comes with high-tech functions too. You can bring up/down the blinds, flip it half open or completely shut just with a touch of a button. I like the natural light that comes through and a walk-in wardrobe attached that is separate from the sleep area.

Dining
In Jade Lounge

In Jade Lounge takes the ocean water waves as it’s design concept and serves breakfast, afternoon tea and night bar on the 28th floor of Silks Club Kaohsiung where you can enjoy the sea and sky of Kaohsiung Harbour.
The dishes served are specially supervised by Chef Ukai, with only fresh ingredients selected for cooking so you can have the best for breakfast to start your day.

I had the Japanese Breakfast Set because it’s not everyday I can have salmon and clam soup for breakfast. I also had some dishes from the buffet spread because I could not resist good pasta. My favourite dishes all in one place just for me to savour.

The buffet spread was good and regularly topped up. The interior was so inviting and check out the bread oven! No wonder the bread tastes so good!

Dassai Bar

Dassai Bar is where you can enjoy premium sake that is famous for its 23% ground alcohol. Ideal for winding down after a long day or catching up with a fellow sake aficionado.

Ukai

Over half a century since its opening, the world-famous Ukai Restaurant Group has lived up to their values of hospitality. The recipe for their long-lasting success comes from the marriage of sophistication, quality ingredients and impeccable service. Yuimom Group exclusively brought in the brand and opened its first overseas venue in Silks Club in 2017.
