Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask

I must admit that I’ve only recently come back into the latest beauty trends. I was stuck in a rut juggling caring for Baeley, working, upkeeping the house and repotting my plants, I barely had any me-time. Then one day, while scrolling through my feed, I was intrigued by a baddie with her face covered in aquamarine blue. I had to find out what it was and went down a rabbit hole. And that was how I got back my skincare mojo, all thanks to Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask.

Why Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask?

Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask was inspired by the “cold plunge” of the Scandinavian sauna cycle. That was enough to excite my vacation-deprived soul but wait, there’s more. This cooling clay mask detoxifies and deeply purifies pores, smooths skin texture and instantly diminishes the look of pores with a chill. Sounds like just what my dehydrated tired skin needs so I went ahead and got it.

Ingredients: Aqua/Water, Kaolin, Glycerin, Disodium Lauryl Sulfosuccinate, Bentonite, Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate, Menthoxypropanediol, Avocado Oil, Phenoxyethanol, Potassium Hydroxide, Salicylic Acid, Peppermint Oil, Sodium Chloride, Ethylhexylglycerin, Propanediol, Sodium Phytate, Xanthan Gum, Epilobium Fleischerie Extract, Saussurea Involucrata Extract, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Kelp Extract, Eucalyptus Globulus Leaf Extract, Carrageenan Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Tocopherol, Chromium Hydroxide Green, Titanium Dioxide.

Directions

Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask
  1. Apply even layer on clean dry face (avoid eye area).
  2. Leave on for 15 minutes.
  3. Rinse off with cool water.

Test a small amount on your forearm before applying in case of any allergic reaction. This product contains alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin’s sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. You MUST use sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product for a week afterwards.

Apply this not more than 3 times a week. I use this only once a week especially during my period to avoid flare ups and on days when I want my skin to look flawless. This mask is on the pricier side and it’s a luxury to be able to find time to put in on so I treat it as such. Switch on some music and pour yourself a collagen drink in a fancy glass because, why not?

Am I enjoying Ole Henriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask?

I love it – from the application to the aftermath! My pores really did look like they shrunk instantly and I felt fresh and clean for the next 8 hours! Since it’s a clay mask, I was expecting it to feel tight on my face but it did not feel drying at all. I love how smooth the removal is too as it lathers when you splash in cool water, no need for any vigorous scrubbing. Personally, the best clay mask I’ve had so far. It’s not easy to find a clay mask that doesn’t completely dry you out at my age and will definitely repurchase. It’s simple to use, great on hot humid days (when I get extra oily), gentle on my skin and does the job well.
