It was early on a Monday morning when I was scrolling through Instagram for events happening around Singapore when I noticed a pop of Tiffany Blue stand out on the explore page… what, Breakfast at Tiffany’s?! Till when?! I realised it was the last day, woke Shine up and rushed down before the lunch time crowd. And that was how my day started.
Address:
Tiong Bahru Bakery, 56 Eng Hoon Street, #01-70, Singapore 160056

That iconic scene where Holly Golightly looked through the window of Tiffany & Co. with a croissant in one hand while sipping from a cup of coffee in another will always be etched on my mind. I’ve always wanted to visit 5th Avenue of New York just to relive that scene from one of my favourite movies. Guess this is the closest I can get to that for now.
Tiffany & Co. collaborated with Tiong Bahru Bakery, a home-grown French coffee chain, in a special week-long takeover to celebrate the launch of the Tiffany Paper Flowers collection.

According to a Tiffany spokesperson, the New York launch in May 2018 witnessed a similar stunt. “We had coffee carts, takeovers in the subway, bodegas and all things New York,” the spokesperson told CNA Lifestyle. “When we wanted to launch in Singapore, we don’t have bodegas like we do in New York, and the subway in New York is very different from our Singapore subway. “So we thought of doing a takeover of a neighbourhood, and what’s a more famous neighbourhood than Tiong Bahru? And the most famous thing in Tiong Bahru is Tiong Bahru Bakery. By combining our famous Breakfast at Tiffany’s with the famous coffee and croissants from Tiong Bahru Bakery, we thought we had a real winner.” – source Channel News Asia.
The Tiffany & Co. Paper Flowers collection will be available in all stores in Singapore from 1 September.
