I’ve been wanting to try the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion since hearing about the new range of shades. Remember my disappointment with BB creams not being suitable for brown girls? Some of us actually love and embrace our melanin. I’m glad to see one Asian beauty brand step up and from all the chatter over on Tiktok about these new TirTir Cushion shades, I had to try them for myself.
I’ve been using the Erborian CC Cream for over a year now and it’s down to its last drop. As I was about to add to cart, I realise it hasn’t been restocked, I panicked. I’ve grown to reach for my CC Cream a lot more than my foundation as I love its easy application. I received the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion right in time but I was still sceptical about it. Having been put off by BB creams for over a decade, I was worried that I would be disappointed by it again. So did the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion live up to the hype?

Why TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion?
TirTir is a Korean beauty brand known for its innovative skincare and makeup, was founded in South Korea in 2015. I remember seeing it everywhere in Tokyo, Japan, too and was so tempted to try it from its cute egg-shape packaging but didn’t because of it’s limited shade range then. TirTir has a variety of BB cushions to suit your needs. Finally, this year, I could try the TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion for the 40 shades available (while the rest has only 20 shades) and the satin smooth and hydrating finish.

The shade I picked for myself is 24N and 29N was in case my choice was too light. I use 24N on most days and 29N for after a vacation, a day at the beach or whenever I get tanned. Brown girlies, you’d get me, our skin tends to get uneven and we blend with the season so it’s handy to have a base make up that we love in different shades to keep up with our lifestyle.
Spritz on the TirTir Mask Fit Makeup Fixer to keep your makeup lasting longer. To avoid looking cakey and to keep the nice satin smooth finish on my skin, I avoid setting powders and switch to this for a blurring effect which makes it stand out from other sticky setting sprays.

Am I enjoying TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion?
I have to say that TirTir has changed my mind about BB Creams. I use to think BB Creams would be too light to cover my raging acne (yes, I still get them once in a while at my big age) and blemishes with minimal shades but omg, the coverage was incredible! I was stunned! I simply needed 1 good dap on the cushion and it covers my entire face with my blemishes! Unheard of in my books as even some foundations cannot do that!
I’ve been using my TirTir Mask Fit Red Cushion for over a month now and I can now switch between this and foundation for events for its high coverage flawless finish and long-lasting power. In fact, sometimes I reach for this more than my foundation when I’m feeling lazy for it’s easy application and especially when I’m breaking out for the hydration, it makes my skin feel happier.
