This Christmas, the House of Dior opens the doors to its Ball of Dreams at the heart of the sublime Château de Versailles inspired by Christian Dior’s passion for the magical grounds and the costume balls that embodied the quintessential French art of hosting. In Singapore, the exclusive Dior Café pop-up store arrives in ION Orchard, offering a selection of exclusive pastries created just for Dior by L’éclair Patisserie.

Ala Carte Dining

Unfortunately this year, I was not fast enough to book the High Tea Set. Not gonna lie, I side-eyed that because, you know, your bougie bae here is a veteran when it comes to these cafe pop-ups but it seem to be booked way before it was announced. But oh wells, at least we manage to dine-in for the ala-carte.
To be honest, since we did not manage to get the High Tea Set, I wasn’t expecting much, but to my surprise, the service was amazing, and the pastries and drinks were so good! And, it was a fraction of how much we would’ve had to spend on the High Tea Set ($150).

Sweets
Dior Eclair
Dior Macaron
Beverage
Black Coffee
White Coffee
Hot Tea
*Min spend $20 required.

A tip to dine-in is to arrive early but having said that, it’s not guaranteed as it’s subject to availability. Honestly, this experience kinda made me realise how the landscape has changed and how much I’ve grown too. I guess there are more and more Bougie Baes now willing to prowl on the websites for the next available slots, join the long queue and eat overly priced macarons with brand logo plastered on it, thanks to social media. May be I’ve been pampered quite well over the years or the novelty of hunting for the next pop-up is starting to wear off on me but that’s a good thing. I’m not in it for just the pretty pics anymore, I want my money’s (and my readers) worth, it has to be an overall experience.
PS: Bougie Bae is not an actual word okay, its a term I coined to poke fun at myself for my antics.
