Klook held it’s very first Kreatorverse this year, where 130 Klook Kreators from 15 countries gathered together for the 4D3N event held in Singapore at Park Royal Collection Pickering.

Nomination

I cannot begin to tell you how I was gasping, smiling and tearing at the same time when I found out I was nominated by Klook for the Rising Star category amongst these inspiring Kreators from around the world.

I remember the girl who was stuck in an abusive relationship, not allowed to travel and lived vicariously through The Travel Channel and travel books. Whenever I needed to zone out of my reality, I would pretend to be walking the grounds of Taj Mahal dressed in all white, frolicking around the Kew Gardens, dine in a cave in Krabi and ride on the Orient Express like Audrey Tautou in that Chanel ad that I was obsessed with. I even made a secret Bucket List. Unfortunately, after I found the courage to leave that toxic person, I had to fend for myself and work 6 Days 12 hours shifts as a Beauty Advisor to pay for my shared room for a few years. It was only after my second surgery that I moved back home and decided to quit my job to try to travel and document them the way my travel books and The Travel Channel did, on this site.

Fast forward to the present, I’m still tearing reliving the long journey it took to get here. Thank you Klook for recognising my work and for being one of the travel platforms that have inspired timid ol’ me to travel and experience the world.

Spoiler Alert: I didn’t win but this is a far cry from the girl who had nothing else but her books, TV and imagination. Never in my wildest dreams did I even think I’ll see myself here so this in itself was already a big win.

Kreators Summit

During the Summit, we got an insight into the future of travel with Klook, what’s important to Millennials and Zoomers such as eco-travel, animal welfare, in-app Sim Card and one-of-a-kind experiences. We also had the privilege of hearing from the heads of TikTok and Meta and a panel discussion from the top Klook Kreators on how we can level up our content to better serve our audience.

Global Kreator Awards

Debuting my Flower Bomb Dress for Kreator Awards Gala Night. Everyone looked stunning and glamourous and I had too much fun!

So many of you were wishing me well and approached me to tell me that you’ve voted, thank you, I feel truly grateful and it was such an honour to be nominated and represent Singapore. I didn’t win the Best Dressed or Rising Star but I won a bunch of new inspiring, like-minded and beautiful friends from around the world, nominated together with a dear friend and fellow Singapore Kreator Amira and got to experience this with the Kreator besties Alicia, Renuka and our Klook Singapore team was priceless.

Experiences

For Experiences Day, we were all allocated to our chosen experiences prior to the event. I got to experience Singapore Zoo and River Wonders as it has been a while since I’ve last visited. And knowing Klook, it would not be just any day out at the zoo, and I was right!

We got to dine with the animal ambassadors at Breakfast in the Wild Ah Meng Bistro, feed giraffes, play with a Capybara backstage and found out that River Wonders has a Manatee Programme that I will definitely add to my bucket list (Manatees are some of my favourite creatures because as a child, I thought they may have met with mermaids, lol).

In the evening, we were treated to Halloween Horror Nights 12 at Universal Studios Singapore. The following day, some of us who opted in were treated to a Resorts World Cruise VIP Tour. Watch my experiences in these reels with direct links to these Klook activities.

I had so much fun, made new like-minded friends from around the world and made memories of a lifetime. Kreatorverse was definitely a highlight of 2024 and a milestone for me personally. Proud to be a Klook Kreator and hope to be part of Kreatorverse 2025!
