If you’re an early subscriber to this site, you’d already know my love for perfumes, French Beauty and how I’ve been transitioning into using products made ethically with natural ingredients.
I was approached by L’Atelier Parfum last year to try some of their perfumes before the launch in Sephora Singapore. They are some of my easiest perfumes to wear, I doused them on very often without a second thought as it has never made my head spin. And this is coming from someone who tends to get headaches.
I was lucky to be approached again this year to try out more of their perfumes. After using them for awhile now, I decided to make a compilation of the L’Atelier Parfum I have in my collection for you to gauge which ones are best for you.

Why L’Atelier Parfum?

L’Atelier Parfum Créateur d’émotions is a French fragrance house from Grasse, the global capital of perfumery, known for its heritage and craftsmanship that stands out for treating perfumery like fine art with scents designed to evoke emotion and individuality hence it’s name – Creator of Emotions. Each fragrance comes with a poetic narrative, capturing moods, memories or places.
Key Features
- Natural Ingredients: Focuses on high-quality, sustainably sourced raw materials.
- Vegan & Cruelty-Free: Certified vegan and not tested on animals.
- Eco-Friendly Packaging: Bottles are refillable and designed with sustainability in mind.
- Modern Luxurious Profile: Rich but not overpowering, complex yet wearable.
OPUS 1: Cœur de Pétales

OPUS 1: Cœur de Pétales is a standout debut fragrance in the Le Jardin Secret series, like a fresh, vibrant bouquet with a twist that was inspired by a multi-coloured bouquet strewn against grey Parisian cobblestones.
Lightweight and joyous, it’s ideal for spring or summer daytime wear, evoking freshness. It’s one of the brand’s most popular scents as it makes for the perfect girl next door fresh floral scent.

OPUS 3: Salty Wood

OPUS 3: Salty Wood stands out within L’Atelier Parfum’s Shots of Nature series that is inspired by a tranquil coastline. It evokes driftwood bleached by sea spray and invites you to drift to where earth and sky meet.
I would best describe it as a fusion of crisp sea air and warm wood tone. Rather different from the usual citrus and florals, this embraces the elements – saline, breezy and earthy.

OPUS 4: Berry Shiver

OPUS 4: Berry Shiver is part of the Skin Sensation series. Berry Shiver is like a burst of joy that invites you to explore the playful side of yourself with hints of wild berries, rose petals, and musk.
Berry Shiver opens soft and citrusy, then unfolds into airy florals and gentle red berries. It doesn’t feel heavy or overtly sweet that is perfect for that Parisian Summer feel.

OPUS 4: Carnal Bliss

OPUS 4: Carnal Bliss is part of the Skin Sensations series that centres on the intimate connection of musk with skin designed to feel soft, comforting and nourishing.
Carnal Bliss evokes freshly laundered linen, comfort, silk-like sensuality and luxury, like you have the keys to the Suite in the Ritz.

Am I enjoying L’Atelier Parfum?

As someone who has always veered towards the heavier, older lady scent (since I was 20!), I was initially worried about these smelling too fruity, sweet or common like body sprays. I was pleasantly surprised that that’s not the case and that each L’Atelier Parfum has very unique scents. Floral and fruit notes are not at all sickeningly sweet or fruity. These ones that I have has hints of musk but have an airy, breezy feel that is not heavy which makes it very versatile to wear even in the day. I spritz them on freely without a headache.
Because its light, it makes it easy to layer and I tend to spritz on 2 scents at a time for a unique touch. My favourite base layer is Carnal Bliss and I’ll add either Berry Shiver or Cœur de Pétales on top. I prefer to wear Salty Wood on its own because it smells like ocean breeze and you know how I feel about that. The bottles are practical and chic, nothing too fancy yet looks good on your vanity. It’s a great grown woman starter perfume, also good to try if other perfumes gives you a headache and the prices are very reasonable too for the amount.
