Prada Caffè opened the first of its kind in Southeast Asia, located within the newly renovated Prada boutique at ION Orchard, Singapore. And get this – it’s NOT a pop-up – so for the first time in a long while, I didn’t have to feel bougie as hell, rushing to be the first few to reserve a seat, still have to wait in a long line with other bougie baes, get photo bombed, only to get chased out after an hour of dining, all just to get some views on a reel. And, you can order more than just a takeaway coffee with a printed logo, so let’s chill girls, Prada Caffè is not going anywhere for now.

The interior is inspired by Prada’s historic Milan boutique, featuring mint-green walls, plush velvet seating, and black-and-white checked floors. All pastries are crafted by Marchesi 1824, a renowned Milanese pastry shop with a 200-year history, and are presented in sustainable, plastic-free packaging. Dine in and have your pastries and coffee/tea served in Prada silver and porcelain tableware that is available at the home section of the boutique.

Afternoon Tea Menu

$120 per 2pax
12:30pm – 4pm

A selection of pastries, biscuits, madeleines, chocolate pralines, candied fruits, savoury canapè and a slice of Panettone to be accompanied by wines, exclusive cocktails, specialty coffee and signature tea. Included a beverage item among coffee and tea.

The portion was very generous for Afternoon Tea and, I don’t know if I was tripping but, I felt like it had a fusion twist catered to our local taste buds? There was even a ginger chocolate somewhere in here. You try and tell me if there’s something wrong with my tongue.

It was nice catching up with my sister Lisa after her stay in London and she got to compare this Prada Caffè to the one in Harrods, the only 2 in the world. It’s also nice that we can come back to enjoy the other dishes on the menu for other special occasions too.

The service here is one of the best I’ve experienced in a long while especially from a luxury boutique/cafe (ironic right?). I came in January just to enquire if the cafe was open for reservations since there was so much buzz about it online. Despite it not being open yet, the SA were so kind to offer to show us around and even took the time to tell us about the chocolates and what to look out for when it finally opens. How to not come back? Best part was the SA remembered me when I came for this Afternoon Tea session, I was pleasantly surprised! Makes me think of getting a Prada hobo from here (ok, stop with the excuses to shop).
