SIX reimagines the lives of the six wives of Henry VIII; Catherine of Aragon, Anne Boleyn, Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Katherine Howards and Catherine Parr who step out of the shadow of their infamous husband and reclaim their own narratives through a modern, pop-inspired musical that brings these historical figures to life, portraying them as fierce and influential pop-stars in their own right. It transforms centuries-old heartbreak into a celebration of 21st century girl power. With its catchy tunes, empowering lyrics, and dazzling performances, SIX has garnered rave reviews and a dedicated global fan base since its inception.
Fun Fact: What got me interested in English history was the story of Henry VIII and his six wives. Divorced, Beheaded, Died, Divorced, Beheaded, Survived – that was how their fates were remembered in history so, I was intrigued to find out how the production was going to turn such a grim tale into a musical.
Shine and myself were thoroughly amused and entertained! We were all given light sticks and it was one of the most entertaining productions, time flew by, it was incredibly fun! Swipe on the Instagram post to have a glimpse of the action.
