Mom Jeans But I Ain’t Your Momma

The Mom Jeans consists of a high waist going above the belly button and gives the illusion of a larger butt. It is usually accompanied by a blouse/t-shirt tucked into the jeans. It was popular throughout the 80s and early 90s until it lost out to low waist jeans in the later part of the 90s and 2000s. Hence, it was considered ‘outdated’, ‘unfashionable’ and some joker thought it was funny to associate it with moms. Well, no one’s laughing now.

I put a twist into my outfit by tucking a turtleneck top into my Mom Jeans and slipped into my suede mules.
