This is a public announcement service – I am not dead. In fact, I’m very much alive and kicking. Its been awhile since I’ve blogged and I know some of you have been checking back to see if I’ve posted any updates on our HDB balloting results, the Europe trip with my siblings and how the Tour Guiding course has been going. The past month has been a whirlwind of emotions for me and there are so many good news to share, I don’t even know where to begin.
Maybe that’s it, I will start from the beginning.
Firstly, I would like to thank my friends and readers who have approached me through PMs, Twitter and even personally to tell me how much they enjoy reading my blog. It means so much to me that my words on this humble little blog have graced you and put a smile on your faces. After all, that was why I started this blog.

Some of you may not now this because you probably came across Love Bella Vida while googling about choosing a lipstick colour or through reading a review. But I started this blog with nothing *burst into a Whitney Houston rendition. Yes, I can somewhat laugh about it now. But back then, nothing in my life was funny at all.
As I was saying, the past weeks have been a whirlwind. I had an amazing experience traveling from Paris, Barcelona, Italy and then to Amsterdam with my siblings in just 10days. I’m learning so much about art, history and developing a passion for conducting tours from my trainers and classmates at TMIS and I look forward to every lesson and field trips. Shine and I got a good ballot number and will be expected to select our unit in Eastlink @ Canberra somewhere next month. We are ecstatic about it and I know those who know my story from the beginning will be too.
Of course, in the midst of happiness, there are people who are ever ready to burst your bubble…
“Why didn’t you put on makeup in Europe?!“, “Why do you wear glasses and not your contacts anymore?!“, “Why don’t you dress up?!“, “Oh, so-and-so looks better than you!“, “Omg, your stomach is bloated! You look pregnant!“, “You’re going to be a tour guide now?!“, “Sembawang so ulu and far from town“. Bla bla bla.
Well then, I’m sorry if you came to this blog or any of my social media sites expecting to see me travelling around Europe in a jet plane sipping champagne. Or if you think my face should be fully contoured and covered like Kim Kardashian’s. Or if you expect me to wear this season’s Zuhair Murad collection and strut down the streets of Orchard Road in a $30,000 encrusted Louboutin (which I have tried on btw). Or if you thought I had washboard model abs. Or if Sembawang is too low class for your uptown real estate taste. Please, by all means, look on the upper right side of the screen and hit on the little x. Because this blog is not for you.
This blog is my journey. A very real journey of picking up the bits and pieces of my life and building it into what I have now. I feel exhilarated whenever I get to step onto a mountain or swim in an ocean because I almost didn’t have that chance. I don’t pile on makeup because I actually like the look of my bare skin now. I dress modestly because its about time I age gracefully. I like watching Les Miserables and documentaries on WWII. I take photographs of flowers and old run down buildings because I see beauty in them. I’m thankful that I’m still alive and well after two major cervical operations. I’m grateful that God has finally given me a home that I have waited for so long. And I met a man who loves me dearly and unconditionally despite all my flaws. I do not have sponsors spamming my emails, fans running to me to ask for an autograph, throw million dollar birthday bashes, have a collection of Chanel Boys to show off to you or 100,000 likes on Instagram. You can go anywhere else on the internet for that, there is an abundance of them.
Love Bella Vida is a very real blog of a very real girl who went through a very real journey. I am not here for the unappreciative brats. I made this blog so that the broken little girls who cry themselves to sleep at night, who think they have nowhere else to go, will look at me and whisper to themselves, “If she can do it, then maybe I can do it too”.
So I apologise to the party poopers if I haven’t lived up to their blogging or social media standards. And I whole heartedly apologise to my readers for the shortage of posts recently, I’ll update as soon as I can. Thank you all so much for your kind words and support.
At the meantime, I hope you have a little piece of your own Love Bella Vida too – Love Beautiful Life.
